Fun Wedding Photographer | Fun Tipi Wedding in Hereford, Herefordshire

December 29, 2018

IF YOU LOVE FESTIVALS THEN YOU’LL LOVE THIS BOHO, TIPI, SUMMER WEDDING!

Lucy and Mike got married at this awesome Tipi in Hereford, Herefordshire, last June. It was a super fun, boho tipi wedding, with so much colour and wildflowers everywhere. Thanks to Ryan Welch for having me along as their second photographer.

Getting ready

Mike got ready in a large cottage house not far from their ceremony site with his groomsmen and close friends, and there was such a relaxed vibe. He wore a stylish green suit and loafers, and looked so dapper. The boys then jumped into their cars to get to the ceremony.

The ceremony

The ceremony took place in the gorgeous main room at Llanvihangel Court. The ceremony area was a beautiful room, which was perfect for the surroundings, because it made it so cosy. The ceremony began with a beautiful reading, and finished with a dramatic first kiss. It was a wonderful ceremony, full of lots of cheer and so much love.

After the ceremony, we did some confetti shots, which I love doing. Then I headed off to photograph some of the wedding details in the Tipi, which I love doing. I got some awesome detail photos as they enjoyed the afternoon – Sometimes I love working as the second photographer because it allows you that little bit of extra time to be super creative and the weather was all sunshine and blue skies, which I loved.

The afternoon

Lucy and Mike chose to have their wedding in a uber cool boho styled Tipi in Hereford because it has so many options, and they could have the place for the whole weekend. Tipi weddings are super quirky, and they’ve always got such a boho/festival vibe, especially in the evenings when the sun goes down.

For the reception, the couple had set up live music and a cocktail drinks reception for their guests, and everyone loved it. Everyone was then called in for food, which was proper wedding grub. It was absolutely delicious. They had speeches after the meal, which were really funny – especially the best man’s speech.

The evening

After the meal was finished, the couple mingled some more with their guests, and the evening got started. The DJ played all the best songs to get everyone dancing.

The evening ended with Jagerbombs all round, which was hilarious – I love a non-traditional wedding party. The whole wedding had such a chilled vibe, from the bride’s awesome dress to the Jagerbombs at the bar. One of the best parts of the wedding was the afternoon reception, because it was so chilled out and you could see how much fun everyone was having. The food was also a talking point of the wedding – they had amazing canapés, and an incredible paella dish in the evening.

I loved this tipi boho styled wedding so much. Here are a few favourite of mine from the day. If you’re getting married and planning a fun boho wedding and you’re looking for a fun and relaxed wedding photographer, get in touch.

I had so much fun shooting this boho styled wedding, here are their photos!
