QUIRKY CELESTIAL THEMED WEDDING AT NO.4 CLIFTON IN BRISTOL – MONIKA AND CHARLES

August 4, 2021

IF YOU LOVE QUIRKY WEDDINGS AND GORGEOUS BLOOMS THEN YOU’LL FIND SO MUCH INSPIRATION FROM THIS CELESTIAL THEMED WEDDING!

Monika and Charles got married at the gorgeous No.4 Clifton Hotel in Bristol. It was intimate celestial themed wedding, with colourful blooms everywhere and a Polaroid guest book and a Moon Arch to keep guests entertained.

Getting Ready

The couple got ready close by with their separate parties. Once everyone was ready they all met up at Charles and Monika’s house for a prosecco before travelling together to the wedding. The two of them shared their first look outside in their garden right before and it was so romantic!!

They’d decided to go for a celestial theme (everyone knows the celestial vibe is 100% my favourite) Monika wore a gorgeous lace 1920’s style wedding dress with moon and star themed accessories and Charles looked uber cool in his navy suit with a gorgeous moon enamel pin!

The ceremony

The ceremony was a lovely intimate civil ceremony which took place in the main Admiral room of the Hotel, and was filled with flowers, from Forest and the Flowers owned by Charle’s sister (seriously check them out, actual flower goals!) which was lovely. The ceremony included a live stream for family and friends who couldn’t attend which has become so popular now after COVID-19. It was a moving occasion, full of lots of cheer and nervous giggles. After they swapped vows they had a dramatic first kiss and walked back down the isle to The Killers!

Drinks and Couple Portraits

After the ceremony, I left the couple to mingle, which was the perfect time for me to get candid photos, I think it’s so important to have a few minutes after your wedding to catch up and say hello to all of your guests properly. The weather at the wedding was fresh and sunny, so it was a beautiful day for photos.

After a little while, Monika, Charles and I decided to sneak off to do some portraits around Bristol City. We walked through the gorgeous streets of Clifton before heading over to the Clifton Suspension Bridge view point to grab some snaps there! Clifton Suspension Bridge is one of those places that always looks amazing no matter what time of year you go and visit so I’ll always recommend it!

The Reception

The reception was held in the main room of No.4 Clifton Hotel. The venue is perfect for weddings because it’s so cosy and relaxed, and it’s got such a happy vibe, especially in the gardens when the golden sun is glowing. The staff at the venue were amazing and so helpful which is everything you could want as a wedding photographer!

The room was decorated beautifully with tapered candles, gold cutlery and even more incredible blooms! Honestly, I’ve never seen blue gypsophila before but it looked incredible and suited the celestial theme so well!

For the reception, the couple had organized some delicious canapes for their guests before their main meal, and everyone really enjoyed it. They also had moon and star themed cupcakes and macaroons as well as a cake! Monika had even made hot sauce as wedding table favours (we all know I put hot sauce on everything so I was so excited when she gave me some to take home!) Guests were then called for the wedding breakfast, which was looked incredible – it was delicious.

I loved this Bristol wedding so much. If you’re getting married and looking for a wedding photographer in Bristol, get in touch.
