Fun London wedding at Old Brewery in London – Ashely and Nick

July 5, 2022

If you love laid back city weddings then you’ll find tons of inspo from this London wedding!

Ashley and Nick got married at the awesome Old Brewery, London. It was a stunning wedding, with lots of fairy lights creating the atmosphere and an open bar to keep guests entertained.

When Ashely and Nick first got in touch with me about their wedding, I was so thrilled – they were planning a really fun pub wedding with an intimate ceremony and a live band for the reception. Ashely and Nick are the loveliest people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!

Bride and groom prep

We started the day at the Novotel in Canary Wharf, where the couple and their friends and family were getting ready together, the morning was super chilled and we all had so much fun, because everyone was in such a good mood. Ashely wore a classic white dress and Nick wore a blue three-piece suit and they both looked absolutely incredible. Once they were both ready we headed downstairs to do a first look and they had even wrote personal vows that they read to each other and I won’t lie, it was difficult to not cry myself!

The ceremony took place at the beautiful Woolwich Town Hall, and was really cosy, which was lovely. The ceremony was a moving occasion, full of love.

After the ceremony, everyone piled into the Routemaster bus and we headed off to the reception! While everyone was mingling outside, we went for couples portraits. which is such a great time for the newly married couple to have some time to let it sink in, and we got some really sweet photos around the venue. The weather at the wedding was glorious, the sun shone all day and it was perfect for photos!

The Old Brewery, London

The reception was held in at The Old Brewery in Greenwich. The venue is perfect for weddings because it’s so cosy and relaxed, and it’s got such a quirky vibe, especially in the evenings when the candles and fairy lights are glowing.

For the reception, the couple had organised live music for their guests, and everyone said how amazing it was. Guests were then called for the wedding breakfast, which was absolutely delicious.

The evening

After some amazing and emotional speeches, the couple cut the cake and band started up to get the party started. The live band kept the party going all night, with one of Nick’s groomsmen making a special appearance on bass guitar, the dancefloor was packed all evening!

The first dance was really emotional and definitely not one to be forgotten! The whole wedding was so laid back, from the beautiful hand written vows to the wonderful speeches.

Here is a little preview of Ashely and Nick’s day in photos.

I loved this wedding so much. If you’re getting married and looking for a wedding photographer in London, get in touch.
