A ROMANTIC BARN WEDDING IN THE MIDLANDS – JO AND LIAM

March 14, 2022

When Jo and Liam first got in touch with me about their wedding, I was so thrilled – they were planning the most romantic barn wedding with an intimate ceremony and a lovely meal with friends and family for the reception. Jo and Liam are the most wonderful people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!

THE EXCITEMENT BEFORE THE WEDDING

Katherine and I started at Cider Mill Barn, where the couple and their friends were getting ready, and it was such a lovely atmosphere. When I lasted chatted to Liam, we weren’t sure if the wedding would go ahead, but the day was finally here and you could tell how excited everyone was. Jo wore a gorgeous strapless lace dress while her bridesmaids looked incredible in burgundy and Liam and his groomsmen wore grey suits with burgundy accents and they looked really dapper.

THE CEREMONY

The wedding took place at Cider Mill Barns in Stratford Upon Avon and was a romantic intimate ceremony. Jo walked down the aisle with her Grandad which was such a sweet moment, while their daughter was accompanied down with one of the bridesmaids. Liam’s face lit up when he saw Jo for the first time. During the ceremony, they had a beautiful reading from the registrar which brought pretty much everyone to tears. After the ceremony they walked down the aisle together, and then we all headed outside for the confetti photos.

AFTER THE CEREMONY

The wedding reception took place in the barn area, which was decorated so fresh florals and beautifully with blossom trees, candles and white and red roses. It was so stunning.

It was a overcast day, which was perfect for photos. While the guests hung around drinking Prosecco, the couple mingled and laughed with their friends. My favourite photo from the afternoon is the one of Jo and Liam having a quite moment to themselves in the ceremony space. Check it out below!

During the reception they had a live singer and guitarist, which everyone loved. For the wedding breakfast they invited a person from each table to carve the roast, and it was loved by all the guests. Afterwards, they had some wonderful speeches and the guests made the most of the photobooth. They also had a live band, which kept everyone entertained.

Although it wasn’t the day that Jo and Liam planned, it was so nice to see them finally be able to get married and celebrate with their family and friends. Jo and Liam are one of the most amazing couples and we’re wishing them all the best!
