AUTUMNAL WEDDING WEDDING IN MISKIN MANOR, SOUTH WALES – RACHAEL AND NATHAN

November 1, 2021

IF YOU’RE PLANNING AN AUTUMNAL WEDDING, YOU’LL FIND TONS OF INSPO FROM THIS WEDDING!

When Rachael and Nathan first got in touch with me about their wedding, I was so thrilled – they were planning the most romantic autumnal wedding with an intimate ceremony, smoke bombs, sparklers and fireworks for the reception. Rachael and Nathan are the most wonderful people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!

Getting ready

Aga and I started at Miskin Manor, where the couple were getting ready. We were so worried about the weather that day but it turned out absolutely beautiful!! It was really exciting, because everyone was in a good mood. Rachael wore a gorgeous fitted lace dress and Nathan wore a really smart tweed suit with emerald green details to match their theme and they BOTH looked really beautiful.

The ceremony

The wedding took place at Miskin Manor, and was a small romantic ceremony. They had their little boy as the ring bearer, which was so beautiful. After the ceremony there was a big cheer from everyone, and then we all headed outside to do a confetti tunnel! When I say buy shit loads of confetti, this is what I mean!! Look how cool their confetti photo is, I will be using it as an example from now on!

The reception

The wedding reception took place in the Glyndwr Suite, which they’d decorated with pumpkins, fairy lights and little bottles of gin! (It was like I’d died and gone to heaven honestly!) It was so incredible.

While the guests hung around drinking Prosecco, we wandered around the venue doing fun and creative portraits. My favourite photo from our couples session is either the smoke bomb shots or probably the one we got indoors, it looks like it’s straight out of a movie! Check it out below!

During the reception they had a sparklers and a waffle cart! I’ve literally never seen that before, it went down a storm with guests! For the wedding breakfast they had a buffet style meal, and it was absolutely delicious. Afterwards, they had some wonderful speeches and the party got started.

Top tip for planning a wedding

These two had to postpone their wedding, and when they did, I was gutted for them but they didn’t let it break their spirit and you could tell how excited and happy they were on the day, seeing Nath’s face when Rachael walked down the aisle was worth it’s weight in gold, so if you’ve also had to postpone just know that it’ll be worth the wait!
