If you love outdoor weddings then you’ll love this Lower Rudloe Farm wedding!
Tara and Matt got married at the lovely Lower Rudloe Farm, Corsham. It was a super fun outdoor wedding, with subtle Lord of the Rings touches and amazing people creating the atmosphere and an incredible band to keep guests entertained.
When Tara and Matt first got in touch with me about their wedding, I was so thrilled – they were planning a really fun barn wedding with an outdoor ceremony and drinks in the garden for the reception. Tara and Matt are the sweetest people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!
Getting ready
Kay and I started the day at Lower Rudloe Farm, where the couple and their friends were getting ready, and it was really exciting because everyone was in such a good mood. Tara wore a gorgeous relaxed dress and Matt wore an amazing suit and they both looked liked movie stars, I could not stop staring at them both all day!
The ceremony took place on the lower lawn at the farm under the mini tipi on the farm, it was surrounded by fields and wild flowers, which was lovely. The ceremony was a wonderful occasion, full of lots of love and nervous giggles and included a some beautiful music and dramatic first kiss.
After the ceremony, guests mingled in the garden, which gave us a chance to take candid photos, and we got some really gorg photos as they enjoyed the afternoon. The weather at the wedding was a real mixed bag, but that didn’t bother them at all.
The Reception
The reception was held in the main barn. The venue is perfect for weddings because you can have the place for the whole weekend, and it’s got such a relaxed vibe, especially in the gardens when the sun goes down.
For the reception, the couple had organised cocktails and some delicious canapes for their guests, and everyone said how amazing it was. Guests were then called for the wedding breakfast, which went down as storm and they also had lots of vegetarian and vegan options – it was delicious.
The Evening
After the speeches, the couple had their first dance which was a SURPRISE swing dance and OMG I have never been so excited in my life, it was incredible!! After that the dancefloor was packed all evening with the live band keeping everyone entertained.
The evening ended with drinks and dancing all round, which was incredible, and everyone had a great time. The whole wedding at Lower Rudloe Farm was everything I love about weddings, from the quirky decor to the amazing first dance to the wonderful speeches.

Tara and Matt are the most incredible people and they planned their day perfectly. They left themselves lots of time to relax which made the day really relaxed and carefree.
