If you’re planning a Miskin Manor wedding, you’ll love this wedding for inspiration!
When Robin and Rhys first got in touch with me about their wedding, I was SO excited – they were planning a beautiful summer wedding with an outdoor ceremony and live music for the reception, plus they’re massive animal lovers and fellow metalheads which meant we got on instantly. Robin and Rhys are the most wonderful people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!
The excitement before the wedding
I started at Miskin Manor, where the girls were getting ready, while Oli started over at the house with the boys and it was so chilled out, because everyone was so happy to see each other. Robin wore a gorgeous lace fishtail dress and Rhys wore an uber cool green suit and they both looked stunning. Once they were both ready they decided to have a first look but they decided that they didn’t want to see each other so we did it around the door which was super sweet!
The wedding took place at Miskin Manor in the Rose Garden, and was a romantic outdoor ceremony. They had a beautiful reading and some amazing vows, which brought pretty much everyone to tears. After the ceremony they walked down the aisle together, and then the celebrations began.
The drinks reception took place on the lawn at Miskin Manor, it was a bright and sunny day, which was perfect for photos. While the guests hung around drinking Prosecco, we wandered around the garden doing fun and creative portraits. My favourite photo from our portrait session is the one of the two of them in the archway. Check it out below!
During the reception they had live music, which gave the afternoon a really chilled vibe. For the wedding breakfast they had gorgeous wedding meal and all of the guests said how it was absolutely delicious. Afterwards, they had some wonderful speeches and the DJ kept the party going all night. They also had a bongo player, which was incredible and kept everyone entertained.
Advice for planning your wedding
Make sure you take time out for just the two of you on the day! These two left themselves plenty of time to spend alone and it was perfect.
