MICHELLE AND JAY’S ALTERNATIVE COCK O’BARTON WEDDING, WAS A GORGEOUS DAY, FILLED WITH SMOKE BOMBS, SPARKLERS AND SOME INCREDIBLE ENTERTAINMENT

When Michelle and Jay first got in touch with me about their Cock O’Barton alternative wedding in Cheshire, I was so thrilled – they were planning a really fun and laid back wedding with an intimate ceremony, smoke bombs and even ibiza styled entertainment. Michelle and Jay are the most fun people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!

Getting ready

I turned up at Cock O’Barton, where the bride and her friends were getting ready together, and it was so chilled out, because everyone was in a good mood. Michelle wore a beautiful princess style dress and Jay wore a light grey suit and they looked so gorgeous.

The ceremony

The wedding took place in the private dining room, and was a romantic intimate ceremony. They had some beautiful readings, which brought pretty much everyone to tears. After the ceremony they had a dramatic first kiss, and then we went and did some beautiful portraits. We headed to the Watermill in Stretton, for some couple portraits and smoke bombs.

After the ceremony

The wedding reception took place in the main room of the Cock O’Barton, which they’d decorated with with a gorgeous LED sign and a doughnut wall. It was so unique, I love photographing alternative wedding days!

It was a beautifully sunny day, which was perfect. While the guests hung around drinking Prosecco, the couple mingled and laughed with their friends. My favourite photo from our couples session is with the two lovebirds at the Watermill.

During the reception they had the saxophonist from Cream Classics, which went down a storm. For the meal they served gorgeous grilled food, and it was loved by all the guests. After the meal they had some wonderful speeches, then the party got started and the couple hit the dancefloor. They also had sparklers, which was a great laugh. We were also treated to a dance by Michelle and their oldest son, Oakley.
