When Lauren and Dylan first got in touch with me about their wedding, I was so excited – they were planning a laid back outdoor wedding with an intimate ceremony and canapes and drinks for the reception. Lauren and Dylan are the sweetest people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!
The excitement before the wedding
I started at Gorcott Hall, where the bride and her friends were getting ready together, and it was so chilled out, because they were so happy to see each other. While I was with the girls, Olly was over with the guys capturing them getting ready. Lauren wore a classic white dress and Dylan wore a three-piece suit and they both looked incredible. These two are literally the coolest, I loved their wedding style! Lauren also had a super cool denim jacket and Dr Marten’s that she changed into later on in the day!
The vows
The wedding took place outside on the courtyard at Gorcott Hall, and was a romantic legal ceremony. They had their own vows, which brought pretty much everyone to tears. They also had their gorgeous doggo as the ring bearer! He literally was the best dog and stole the entire show all day. After the ceremony there was a big cheer from everyone, and then the celebrations began.
After the ceremony
The wedding reception took place outside on the lawn, one thing I love about this venue is that you’ve got so much space and the staff are brilliant! It was a beautifully sunny day, which was glorious. While the guests hung out at the bar, the couple mingled while I took candids. For the wedding breakfast they had a vegetarian feast, and it was absolutely delicious. Afterwards, they had some wonderful speeches, then we snuck off for some couple portraits, after we got back the couple cut the cake and the party got started. They also had a live band, which kept everyone entertained.
Advice for planning your wedding
Your wedding day should be about the two of you and everything you love, and these guys had just that, it really was the perfect day.
