When Anisa and James first got in touch with me about their wedding, I was SO thrilled – they were planning a romantic outdoor wedding with an intimate ceremony and drinks in the garden for the reception. Anisa and James are the most wonderful people and after chatting to them and shooting their engagement session last year I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!
The excitement before the wedding
I started the day at one of my favourite venues, Broadfield Court, where Anisa and James and their friends were getting ready, it was really chilled morning and everyone was in such a good mood. Anisa wore a classic white dress and James wore a three-piece suit and they looked really incredible.
The ceremony
The wedding took place at Broadfield Court in the woodland area, and was a romantic intimate ceremony. They had a registrar led ceremony, with some quirky elements which everyone loved. After the ceremony the newlyweds danced back down the aisle together, and then they were showered with confetti.
The afternoon
The wedding reception took place on the lawns at Broadfield Court, which they’d decorated with gorgeous vintage decor and flowers. Honestly, it was so stunning, I loved all of the vintage mirrors as decor.
It was a sunny, cloudless day, which was what the couple had hoped for. While the guests enjoyed canapes and cocktails, we wandered around the venue doing fun and creative portraits. During the reception they all chilled outside and enjoyed the canapés and drinks, which went down a storm. For the food they had mini burgers and lots of grazing bits, and it was absolutely delicious. Afterwards, they had some wonderful speeches and the DJ played all the best songs to get everyone dancing. They also had an ice cream truck, which was a huge hit! The day was so much fun from start to finish, you could really feel the love in the air.
